Respect

A little goes a long way

At SlowNerd, we strive to create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all players. Treat others with respect and always behave responsibly.

  1. English is required in public chat. To ensure clarity, public chat must be in English. Private messages (/msg) can be in any language.

  2. Be respectful. Always be polite. Slurs and derogatory language (racial, ethnic, sexual, religious, etc.) are strictly prohibited.

  3. No spam or chat flooding. Avoid excessive messages, CAPS LOCK, or trolling.

  4. No impersonation or harassment. Do not impersonate other players or staff. Harassment, stalking, or creepy behavior is not allowed.

  5. No fancy or glitch text. Unreadable or distorted text disrupts chat and is not allowed.

  6. No begging. Do not ask for free items, ranks, or other benefits. Earn them through gameplay.

  7. PvP is only allowed with mutual consent. Both players must agree before engaging in combat.

  8. Keep chat drama-free. Discussions about drugs, politics, religion, or unnecessary drama are not allowed.

  9. No threats or blackmail. Threats, doxxing, blackmail, or extortion will be taken seriously. Any threats to the server will result in immediate action.

  10. Respect staff members. Do not argue with or harass staff. They work hard to keep the server running smoothly.

  11. Keep chat friendly & appropriate. Moderate swearing is allowed, but excessive profanity is not. Do not joke about or discuss self-harm.

  12. No advertising. Do not promote other servers, social media, or services/products.

  13. Streaming policy (Discord). Only SlowNerd-related streams may be shared in the #Streams channel. Others will be removed without warning.

Griefing, Theft and Claims

Protect what's yours

Griefing is the act of irritating or angering others through destruction or unwanted construction. To claim land, simply place a sign, fence, or wall with your name.

  1. Griefing is prohibited. Destroying or altering another player's builds without permission is not allowed.

  2. Claiming land. To claim land, place a sign, fence, or wall with your name.

  3. Respect land claims. Do not build within 100 blocks of another player's claim without permission.

  4. No modifying or removing other players’ builds. If it's not yours, don't touch it.

  5. No stealing. Do not take items from chests, furnaces, shulkers, or any other storage without permission. Only take from containers labeled "Free Items" or "Community Chest."

  6. Do NOT destroy loot chests in generated structures. This includes Desert Temples, Jungle Temples, Villages, Ancient Cities, End Cities, and similar locations. Loot will regenerate over time, so leave chests intact for all players to access.
  7. Do not loot death locations. Items dropped upon death belong to the original player.

  8. No offensive or overly sexualized builds. Keep the server appropriate for all players.

  9. Public areas must remain accessible. Claims obstructing public spaces may be removed without notice.

  10. Respect personal space. If a player asks you to leave their claim or area, you must comply.

  11. No breaking into locked areas. Do not bypass locked doors or protected spaces.

  12. No 1×1 pillars or holes to bedrock. They are considered an eyesore. If you create one, remove it afterward.

  13. Inactive claims may be removed. Land claims with no development after 30 days may be forfeited.

  14. Land cannot be sold. All claimed land, including farms, is free and cannot be sold to other players.

Farms and Redstone

Automate all the things

Redstone is a key part of the game, and we encourage creative and efficient builds! However, please follow these guidelines:

  1. All redstone devices must have an ON/OFF switch. A clearly marked switch is required so the Admin Team can disable your device if necessary.

  2. Lag machines are strictly prohibited. Any contraption designed to intentionally create lag will be removed.

  3. Zero-tick farms are not allowed. These farms produce items at an unnatural rate and cause unnecessary lag.

  4. Keep redstone farms visually appealing. Blend your farm with the surroundings to maintain a good-looking world.

  5. Hoppers must not stay full. Regularly empty chests and ensure items can flow properly to prevent lag.

  6. Wither Rose farms must not be built on the main End island. Keep them in separate areas to avoid interfering with other players.

Cheating, Bugs and Exploits

Don't be that person

  1. Hacking is absolutely forbidden. No exceptions.

  2. Do not exploit bugs or dupes. Duplication of items or blocks is not allowed. If you find an exploit, report it to staff immediately.

  3. Do not evade punishments. Bypassing a ban, mute, or any other punishment will lead to further consequences.

  4. Do not abuse server-side or Mojang-side bugs. Report bugs instead of exploiting them.

  5. Unfair modded clients are not allowed. Even if you’re not actively using cheats, having them installed can result in a ban.

  6. Once you have read and understood these rules, please react with the SlowNerd logo :slownerdlogo: to the rules link in the #📋│rules Channel on Discord to confirm.
  7. Unfair resource packs are prohibited. Packs like Glowing Ores and X-Ray (or others) that give an unfair advantage over others are not allowed.

Economy and Shopping

Make it rain

Diamonds are the official currency. To maintain a fair and functional economy, shop owners and customers must follow these guidelines:

  1. Shops must clearly display prices and items for sale. Buyers should know exactly what they are purchasing.

  2. Every shop must have a name. A sign with both the shop name and the owner’s name is required for identification.

  3. Respect market value. Use common sense when pricing items to keep the economy fair for all players.

  4. No stealing or unauthorized modifications. Do not take items without paying, and do not alter other players’ shops.

  5. Limit entities in shops. Minimize item frames, armor stands, and other entities to reduce lag.

  6. No mobs, villagers, nether portals, or farms in the shopping district. These are not allowed to maintain server performance.

  7. Inactive or empty shops will be removed.

    • Shops unstocked for 30 days may be removed or auctioned without warning.

    • Shops belonging to players inactive for 90 days will be removed or auctioned.

    • No materials or items will be reimbursed upon removal.

The End

Is near......

The End is a valuable part of the server and must be treated with respect to ensure fair access for all players.

  1. The End will remain closed until the first dragon fight is organized by the staff team.

  2. Do not grief End Cities. Preserve structures for future explorers.

  3. Do not destroy chests or remove Ender chests. Loot chests will regenerate over time.

  4. Do not grief the Main Island. Keep it intact for all players.

  5. Travel beyond 10k blocks after obtaining an elytra. Leave closer End Cities for others to explore.
